YBIC Guided School Trips Policy
Welcome to the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre (YBIC)! We are delighted to have your group here!
YBIC is committed to nurturing curiosity and cultivating critical thinking and science literacy. Our interpretive team can provide a unique and memorable experience for your class, and we can customize our offerings to cover specific themes related to what your class is studying.
We strive to offer safe and supportive learning experiences. In addition to our <YBIC Visitor Policy>, below are the expectations and guidelines for educators and participants attending a school tour at the centre:
All educators and participants must treat each other with respect. This includes acting in a way that does not interfere with or intimidate others.
Participants are responsible for following the instructions from YBIC interpretive guides.
While questions are greatly encouraged, YBIC interpretive guides will not tolerate the intentional continuous disruption of their program, inappropriate behavior, or actions towards other participants. (This includes any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination that is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or body shaming.)
If participants do not follow these guidelines, the YBIC interpretive guide will halt the program and ask teachers to intervene.
