Sunday, January 14 –1 pm to 3pm Make your Own Cartoon Flip Book –Cave Art Style (Sunday Craft Day)
Who knew that you could turn static drawings into motion pictures? Apparently, some mammoth hunters in France and Spain did. They left behind drawings on cave walls that some scientists think may represent our first forays into cinema –thousands of years before television and movies!
In honour of those cave-frequenting, motion-picture pioneers, we will be making cartoon flip books that operate on many of the same principles as the first cartoons. You can even take your movies home and amaze your screen-savvy friends …that this was once cutting-edge technology. (Regular admission applies)
